MOCHADO EVENT AS is among the first Norwegian event companies specializing in alcohol-free beverages, with a vision to create inclusive and health-promoting experiences for society.

The traditional event industry today primarily focuses on holistic experiences, where food, drink and entertainment play a central role. In many cases, alcohol is a natural part of events such as corporate parties, conferences, festivals and private celebrations. As of today, there are few event companies in Norway that exclusively focus on alcohol-free events.

Although there has not yet been a large market for alcohol-free companies solely dedicated to alcohol-free events like MOCHADO EVENT, there is a growing interest for such offerings in Norway. This revealed a potential that was a very natural extension of our values around inclusion – a demand we now meet through collaboration with existing initiatives and organizations.

We are an event agency that supports talents of all ages, with a strong commitment to inclusion, mental health and safe environments. The entertainment industry can be a fantastic arena for creative expression, but it is often also the first exposure to alcohol and other drugs. Many of the world’s greatest talents have faced the darker sides of this industry, and we have lost several unique artists as a result.

Tim Bergling, known as Avicii, was one of our generation’s greatest musical geniuses. He gave us timeless songs, energy and inspiration – but behind the success lay a battle against pressure, stress and challenges related to substance use and mental health. His tragic passing is a reminder of how important it is to create an industry culture that cares for its artists – not just as talents, but as people.

That’s why we work to provide our young talents with strong values and a supportive community. We want to offer them the opportunity to perform on stages where the audience is sober – where their art is celebrated for what it truly is: pure, authentic and powerful.

We believe in educating and guiding our talents so they can navigate the industry safely. Through courses, workshops, personal coaching and close follow-up, we teach them how to communicate effectively, set boundaries and achieve success without compromising their well-being.

• Villbrygg: Established in 2018, Villbrygg crafts sparkling botanical brews from wild plants and herbs sourced from organic and biodynamic agriculture. Their drinks are balanced, complex and perfect with food.
• Empress: Known for its premium alcohol-free beverages, including kombucha, winealts, brut and mocktails. Empress is a leading Norwegian brand and has begun exporting to the US.
• KLOKK & CO OSLO: Based in Huseby, Oslo, they make refreshing beverages ranging from naturally sweetened sodas and ginger beer to high-quality alcohol-free beers using natural ingredients.
• Nolo Nordic: Founded by brothers Alexander and Christian, with a vision to create next-generation drinks that deliver outstanding flavor experiences without compromising quality or sustainability.
• Dyrket.no: Offers a large and exciting selection of alcohol-free drinks made by small-scale producers in Norway.

These are just five of many fantastic producers who contribute to a richer selection of alcohol-free alternatives in Norway, supporting a growing trend toward healthier and more inclusive choices.

Since 2022, we’ve been building relationships with alcohol-free producers nationally and internationally, and have introduced products to top restaurants and grocery stores in the Norgesgruppen. We’ve now entered a unique collaboration with an award-winning bar – ranked among the world’s best – known for its expertise in creative mixology. Together, we’re developing an exclusive alcohol-free drink menu that elevates the experience to new heights.

Sober Oslo is a non-profit organization that promotes drug-free social activities. They create inclusive communities where people can build networks, experience togetherness and participate in meaningful events – all without the use of drugs. We’re excited to follow their further development.
