Eftir is a café and retail concept that celebrates reuse, sustainability, and circular values.

Our vision is to create a warm, inviting café where you can enjoy a great meal and shop for clothing, art, and home décor — all with a clear conscience. We believe it’s our social responsibility to offer a space where people can make mindful choices that are both environmentally and ethically sound.

Our flagship initiative is a new circular packaging system that replaces traditional takeaway packaging made from paper and plastic. With this, we aim to reduce single-use waste and inspire long-term, responsible consumption.

The journey began on a spring day, when two women with a shared passion for the environment came together to create a concept they felt was missing from the urban landscape. Today, Eftir is a living, breathing reality.

The name Eftir, which means “after” in Icelandic, is a nod to the idea of giving things a second life. Instead of using and discarding, we believe in caring for what we have and extending its value.
