About Livid
Livid Jeans is a Norwegian apparel company rooted in craftsmanship, authenticity, and sustainability. Combining Japanese textile finesse with the timeless silhouettes of Scandinavian design, Livid honors traditional methods of garment-making and values long-lasting quality over fast fashion trends.
The brand began as a one-man denim workshop using a single Singer lockstitch machine. Today, Livid operates its own full-scale manufacturing facility in Trondheim, which remains the only day-to-day jeans production workshop in Scandinavia.
With a commitment to local production, transparency, and exceptional quality, the Made in Norway collection represents everything that opposes mass-produced, low-quality fashion. Each piece is crafted with care, knowledge, and respect for heritage.
A Story of Legacy and Renewal
Livid’s philosophy is inspired by personal history. The founder’s family once ran a thriving greenhouse and metal casting business in the 1920s. Though the buildings are now in ruins, the spirit of craft and pride in hard, honest work lives on — symbolized by the metal-cast numbers still standing atop the local church, made by the founder’s great-grandfather.
This deep sense of heritage is infused into every collection — a quiet reverence for things made well, made to last, and made to matter.
