About the Artist
Julie Thévenot is a Paris-born, New York-based artist and designer who launched her eponymous line of avant-garde jewelry, accessories, and decorative objects in 2012. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Thévenot relocated to New York in 2005, drawn to the city's energetic duality — both competitive and community-driven.
Her work is experimental and research-based, rooted in a visual language that is at once jubilant, spontaneous, and sculptural. With a strong background in fine arts, Thévenot allows her creative process to be guided by intuition, leading to unexpected shapes, bold symmetries, and a distinctly cosmic-meets-primitive aesthetic.
In 2005, before turning to jewelry, she briefly ventured into fashion design — an experience that continues to inform her present practice. The aesthetic DNA of her work reflects that freedom of exploration, blending natural materials with highly technical processes, all meticulously crafted by hand.
Her offerings range from statement accessories and wearable art to prints and wall hangings, with sculptural installations and collaborative projects planned for the near future.
